HAAP Football practice begins on Monday, Aug. 9. Practice will be from 4pm to 6pm.

Armstrong Township High School is formulating a plan to open the 2021-2022 school year. We are still awaiting more guidance from the Illinois State Board of Education, the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Governor. What we do know currently is that the district plans to follow CDC guidelines which state that vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks indoors and that unvaccinated individuals are recommended to wear masks indoors. The CDC and current state guidance is that all students will be required to wear masks on school buses. The district will continue to implement cleaning and sanitation protocols, spacing protocols mirroring the end of last years (3 feet) - limiting the lunch room to no more than 50 students, and asking students to stay home if they are sick. We will be moving back to our regular attendance schedule 8:00am - 3:00pm - with a heat schedule in place until after Labor Day - which will be 2:00 dismissals. The final plan will mirror guidance given by the State Board of Education, IDPH and the Governor. The district will send out more information as we get closer to the start of school and the information that we are given is more definitive.
