The Armstrong FFA had a CRAZY week last week. On Wednesday, Cheyenne Cade participated in the Envirothon in Arthur, IL where her team placed 3rd overall. That night Cheyenne Cade, Carla Gann and Jerid Myler volunteered their time to work at the Rantoul Food Pantry helping restock their storage room. Thursday was the DACC Ag Day where the Armstrong FFA was in charge of running the petting zoo for all of the youngsters to enjoy. Then on Friday we hosted our own petting zoo and Ag day at the Armstrong Township High School. There, we had the petting zoo out in the bus barn as well as AGtivities in the classrooms where the students rotated through to learn about chickens and soil. The Introduction to Agriculture class was in charge of planning and running those AGtivities for the grade school students, and they did a fantastic job! Big thanks to those students and their parents who brought their animals in to be a part of our petting zoo! What a great week to be a part of the Armstrong FFA!
