The 2018 Homecoming basketball game against Judah Christian will be played at Armstrong on Friday, November 30th. The Homecoming Court will be introduced between games.
The Homecoming Dance will be held Saturday, December 1st, in the high school cafeteria from 7:00 – 11:00 pm. Coronation will take place at 8:00 pm.
ATHS Student Council met Thursday September 6th to elect officers and plan activities for the 2018-2019 school Year.

The Senior Student Council Members, Sarah Edenbern, Carla Gann, Madi Gayheart, Morgan Harding, Hollianne Logue,Shelby Loy, Ellie Masengale, Dalacie Singh, Makayla Stewart, Kyerra Townsend and Tessa Van Ostrand prepared breakfast for the teachers and staff to show appreciation for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. Members of the STAND Club feel they had a great Red Ribbon Week. Most students participated in the “Dress Up” days, and more than 3/4 of the students in the school signed pledge cards to remian “Drug Free”. The first ever Door Decorating Contest was a great success with 6 doors (Mr. Dunlavey, Mrs. Ashcraft, Ms. Schleet, Mrs Young, Mrs. Heidrick and Mr. Loschen) encouraging students to remain drug free. The students look forward to an even better Red Ribbon Week next year and are ready to start planning Post Prom activities! The school cafeteria will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland on Saturday, December 2, 2017, after Student Council members decorate for the Homecoming Dance.
Christmas trees, white lights, and snowy scenes will provide the back drop for the dance that begins at 7:00 pm. Coronation will be held at 8:00.
Student Council is looking for artificial Christmas trees and white Christmas lights to borrow. Trees and lights should be marked with the lender’s name and dropped off at the school after November 27th. Students can pick up local trees if necessary. Borrowed trees can be picked up on Sunday, December 3rd during cleanup, or during the week of December 4th – 8th during school hours.

STAND Club will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week during the week of October 30th thru November 3rd. Activities include Lunchtime Trivia,Pinning members, all school Pledge Card signings, and Dress Up Days.

Armstrong’s Student Council members are very excited about the 2nd Annual Halloween Party for local children. This year’s party will take place on Wednesday, October 25th between 6 pm and 8 pm in the Armstrong High School Gym. The party was held in the cafeteria in 2016, but will be held in the bigger gym this year.
The free event will include a costume contest, Halloween themed games, refrershments, and crafts. All local children 4th grade and under are invited to attend!
