Due to the increase in COVID cases in the area, ATHS will be going to remote learning for all students for the week of Monday, Nov. 30 through Friday, Dec. 4.
Wednesday, Nov. 25 of this week will be a remote learning planning day for the staff, so there will be no students attending the high school and no instruction on Nov. 25.
Monday, Nov. 30 will be an even day on the remote learning plan and Tuesday, Dec. 1 will be an odd day and so on for the week. Please review the remote learning/shutdown plan which is posted on our website, and also posted in the digital locker in the teacherease program.
Students will return to in-person learning on Monday, Dec. 7. During the remote learning week, lunches will be served and we will work on a distribution schedule; we would like to know if you want lunches for next week. If you already know you will need lunches each day next week please let us know as soon as you can; you may call the school at 217-569-2122 and let us know you will need lunches for the week. If you are not sure at this time if you need lunches you may call by 8:30am on Monday, November 30, to let us know if you need lunch on that day. If you would just like to let us know on a day to day basis if you need lunch please let us know by 8:30am of the day you would like lunch.
Armstrong High School will be going to remote learning for all students on Nov. 4, 5, and 6. We had a positive COVID case in our building last week. Students that have to quarantine because of the positive test have already been notified.
Please review the remote learning/shutdown plan which is posted on our website. Wednesday, Nov. 4 will be an odd day according to the plan and then Thursday, Nov. 5 will be and even day. Friday, Nov. 6 will be an odd day. On odd days, periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 meet and on even days, periods 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8 meet.
We will have lunch pick up at the high school for those wanting lunch on those days. Lunch can be picked up on Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 12:30pm–you can pick up lunch this day for all 3 days. Please send an email to Mr. Loschen at email@example.com or call the high school by Wednesday, Nov. 4 by 9am to let us know if you would like lunches for the week.
If a student needs to pick something up from the high school for a class, please call and we can arrange a time for it to be picked up.
Students that are not quarantined will return to in-person learning on Monday, Nov. 9. Please help us out by staying home if you do not feel well or have any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19. Please stay safe.
